MAYAN JOURNEY TO THE WEST

A concept art project that re-imagines the tale of Journey to the West, a classic Chinese novel that depicts the pilgrimage of a Buddhist monk and his three followers, which includes the famous Monkey King, in their quest to retrieve sacred text in the Western regions (current central Asia and India), in a Mayan stone reliefs.
